Abstract:
To prevent intrusion of foreign matter into a check valve to thereby prevent check leakage caused by foreign matter caught in a valve seat surface, with a result that increase in pipe pressure losses is suppressed even if periodic maintenance is not performed, thus enabling maintenance-free operation for an extended period of time.SOLUTION: A weir structure 5 is provided on a bottom surface of an inlet/outlet coupling portion of a check valve body 4 to prevent foreign matter such as dust accumulated on bottom portions of a pipe from being brought into the valve body. The weir structure 5 may be plate-shaped, mesh-shaped, or net-shaped; any structure is acceptable as long as it can prevent intrusion of foreign matter flowing into bottom portions of a pipe in a manner that does not impede fluid flow to the valve body as much as possible.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
