To provide an inexpensive high-performance device utilizing a chamber and piston combined structure.
The piston and chamber combined structure includes a chamber formed as an elongated chamber with a major axis, and having a first cross section at a first longitudinal position and a second cross section at a second longitudinal position, the second cross section being 95% or smaller of the first cross section, the chamber having a substantially continuous change in the cross section, and a piston for quickly responding to the change in the cross section of the chamber when moved from the first longitudinal position to the second longitudinal position. The piston includes a umbrella-shaped supporting structure or form, or a fiber-reinforced variable shape container including fluid. The structure can be used for a pump, actuator, motor or shock absorber.
