To provide a ceramic formed product accommodable to various organisms and having high versatility and a method of producing the same.
The ceramic formed product is characterized in that the ratio of an amorphous phase is ≤50%, and the electrical conductivity of water obtained after dipping the ceramic formed product in water of 100 ml for 24 h is ≤30 μs/cm per 4 cm3 of the ceramic formed product. When thus characterized ceramic formed product is used, the fluctuation of pH caused by the elution of ions and impurities are suppressed and adverse effects to the growing environments of organisms are suppressed. Accordingly, the ceramic formed product capable of being used in various applications such as breeding of various organisms having different optimal growth environments and having high versatility is obtained. Further, when the formed product is produced by firing at a final firing temperature of 95 to 1,050°C, the elution of ions and impurities from the ceramic formed product is suppressed and the ceramic formed product having the high versatility can be provided.
