Abstract:
To provide a cation-exchange resin that enables separation of a hardness component contained in tap water by exchange with sodium ions which suppresses a used amount of a treatment liquid for regeneration, and enhances a regeneration rate.SOLUTION: A regeneration liquid of a cation-exchange resin that enables separation of a hardness component contained in tap water by exchange with sodium ions contains water, and sodium chloride dissolved in the water and an organic acid salt. The organic acid salt is sodium malate, sodium citrate and sodium lactate, which can be coordinated relative to the hardness component, and its concentration is set to be at least 0.01 mol/L. The cation-exchange resin is treated with a treatment liquid of 0.5-twice larger than that of its volume, and thereby the cation-exchange resin is reproduced at high rate.SELECTED DRAWING: None
