Abstract:
To provide a cation-exchange resin that enables separation of a hardness component contained in tap water by exchange with sodium ions which suppresses a used amount of a treatment liquid for regeneration, and safely enhances a regeneration rate.SOLUTION: A regeneration agent of a cation-exchange resin that enables separation of a hardness component contained in tap water by exchange with sodium ions contains sodium chloride, and an organic acid salt such as disodium malate, sodium citrate and sodium lactate, which can be coordinated relative to the hardness component, and when an aqueous solution is prepared so that concentration of the sodium chloride is 10 mass% using tap water, a pH of the aqueous solution is 5.8 to 8.6. The regeneration agent is dissolved in water to prepare a treatment liquid, the cation-exchange resin is treated with the treatment liquid, and thereby the cation-exchange resin is reproduced.SELECTED DRAWING: None
