Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster device with a brake for a hand caster having such a structure in which rubbish, dust, water, etc. hardly penetrate a brake drum, maintenance of a brake mechanism of a brake is facilitated, simple application to wheels, yokes, etc. having different size is permitted and rich versatility is obtained.SOLUTION: A caster device with a brake for a hand caster includes a brake drum 51 fixed to a wheel 32, a cover drum 52, a brake mechanism 53 disposed on the inner surface side of the cover drum 52 and an actuation lever 4 which actuates the brake mechanism 53. Therein, the cover drum 52 is fitted to the brake drum 51 from the outer circumferential side and, moreover, is attached to the yoke 31 attachably and detachably, and the brake mechanism 53 includes a pair of brake shoes 68, brake lining 72 attached to the brake shoes 68, a brake spring 69 which always energizes the brake shoes 68 in such a direction as to close the brake shoes and a cam shaft which is pivotally attached to the cover drum 52 and can be rotated by the actuation lever.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
