Abstract:
To provide a carbon-plated electrode prepared by molten salt electrolysis plating, whose support base of a substrate does not contain a metallic material, and an electrochemical sensor employing the carbon-plated electrode prepared by molten salt electrolysis plating.SOLUTION: A carbon electrode 1 comprising a carbon film formed on a part of a resin layer 2 which is a support body, is characterized in that the carbon film is a carbon plating film 3 prepared by molten salt electrolysis plating. The electrochemical sensor comprising the plurality of carbon electrodes and an electrochemical sensor base plate 9 onto which the plurality of carbon electrodes are disposed and fixed, is characterized in that each of the carbon electrodes is fixed to the electrochemical sensor base plate with its resin layer side facing the same, a drive circuit of the electrochemical sensor is built into the electrochemical sensor base plate, the drive circuit and each of the carbon electrodes are electrically connected by a plurality of lead wires each corresponding to the individual carbon electrode, and a cover 8 made from an insulative resin is provided on the upper face of each of the lead wires.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
