PURPOSE: To permit recording of the audible sound near a subject on a photosensitive body after a shutter button is pushed by providing a sound recorder consisting of a recording signal converting part and a recording part which is inputted with the signal from said converting part and records a physical quantity on the photosensitive body.

CONSTITUTION: A count device 12 of a controller 10 starts counting from the point of the time when the specified time elapses after the shutter button is pushed when the shutter button is pushed after the photosensitive body is mounted on a camera and prescribed photographing conditions are set in the camera. An electric signal converting part 14 converts the audible sound such as man's or animal's calling voices or sounds to the electric signal upon starting of the counting. The recording quantity converting part 16 is inputted with the electric signal from the electric signal converting part 14 and converts the electric signal to the physical quantity which can be recorded on the photosensitive body in correspondence to the audible sound.
