PURPOSE: To easily retrieve an image relating to a specific speaker out of speaker's voices recorded together with photographing images by providing the camera system with a camera capable of recording voices at the time of photographing and a reproducing machine capable of retrieving and reproducing a required photographed image based upon the collation of the voice.
CONSTITUTION: The reproducing machine is provided with a voice registering means for registering voices. Namely, units from a microphone 10 to a memory 13 are constitution for voice input to input the voice of a photographed person or the like. The system is also provided with a collating means for collating a voice registered in a voice registering means with a voice recorded in a recording medium and an output control means 20 for reproducing and outputting an image corresponding to a coincident recorded voice obtained by the collating means. The voice inputted at the time of recording the photographed image is recorded correspondingly to the image, and at the time of reproducing the photographed image, the previously registered voice is collated with the voice obtained at the time of photographing by voice recognition prior to the reproducing of the image and the coincident recorded voice obtained as the collated result is retrieved. Consequently, a required photographed image is retrieved based upon the voice recorded at the time of photographing the image by the camera.
