Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam shaft structure of an internal combustion engine at a low cost in which an oil film is easily formed on the contact surface of the cam so as to improve the durability while the number of manufacturing process is reduced and excellent manufacturing efficiency is achieved.
SOLUTION: The cam shaft structure in which in the cam shaft 1 which is integrated into one piece by press-fitting a cam piece 2 stamped out from an iron metal flat plate by press work into an iron metal shaft 3, the cam piece 2 press-fitted into the shaft 3 is comprised of a single member and on the cam surface of the cam piece 2, two or more lines in the direction of the axis of the cam shaft 3 are formed by the press work.
