Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sealability of a cam follower without increasing an interference of a seal member.SOLUTION: A cam follower 10 comprises: an outer ring 12; a lid body 14 for blocking only one of both end faces of the outer ring 12 and releasing the other end face; a stud 11 which is provided with a bearing part 11a at one end and a mounting part 11b at the other end, and in which the bearing part 11a is inserted from the released end face of both end faces of the outer ring 12; a roller 13 assembled between a rolling face of the stud 11 and a rolling face of the outer ring 12; and a seal member 15 faced to a released end face of both end faces of the outer ring 12. One end face of the outer ring 12 is blocked with the lid body 14, and therefore, sealability is improved and grease leakage is restrained. To restrain the grease leakage, there is no need of excessively increasing the interference of the seal member 15 to restrain the torque loss.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
