Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cam follower capable of properly keeping lubricity by holding grease on a rolling surface even under a use environment in which large centrifugal force is acted.SOLUTION: A cam follower 10 includes a stud 11 having a bearing portion 11a at one end and a mounting portion 11b at the other end, and provided with a rolling surface 11c on an outer diameter face of the bearing portion, an outer ring 12 of the bearing portion, and a rolling element 13. The stud 11 has a grease storage oil hole 15 from an outer peripheral face of the bearing portion toward the center, and an opening 15a of the oil hole is positioned on an edge portion of a load area Z. When the cam follower 10 is used for a fly wheel damper, for example, the grease in the oil hole is moved to an opening side by the centrifugal force, and supplied to the rolling surface from the opening even when a fly wheel 3 is rotated and the load is acted on an anti-revolution center direction a during the rotation, as the opening of the oil hole is positioned on the edge portion of the load area Z. Thus the oil can be sufficiently supplied even to the rolling surface of the load area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
