Abstract:
To provide a cam follower capable of preventing damage to a fixed shaft and extending lifetime by reducing contact pressure between a roller and the fixed shaft in a region where load of the cam follower is applied.
In the cam follower 10 using the fixed shaft 13 fixed on a rocker arm 1 as an inner ring and having rollers 12 arranged between an outer ring 11 and the inner ring, rocking a rocker arm 1 to open and close a valve by a cam 23 slidably contacting the outer ring 11 of the cam follower 10, the loaded region of the fixed shaft 13 is formed with curvature radius r2 larger than curvature radius r1 of the fixed shaft 13.
