Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To not only simplify the work for manufacturing a calked structural body but to reduce the cost of the calked structural body by having a 1st member and the 2nd member which is joined by calking and executing knurling to the joined part of the 2nd member.
SOLUTION: An outer race 55 is set on a jig 74, the inner peripheral edge of a planar part is set to the stepped part P14 of the outer race 55, load is downward added with a driving means 72 while rotating a head 71 and a projecting part 66 is crushed with calking rollers 73. In a state before calking is executed, a specified clearance is formed between a brake hub 53 and the outer race 55. The calking is executed at three places in the circumferential direction of the bottom of the head 71 at the same time. In such a case, by repeatedly rotating the head 71 and gradually crushing the projecting part 66, the projecting part 66 is uniformly crushed in the circumferential direction and the clearance is uniformly reduced.
