Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a cage valve which can maintain its initial sealing performance over a long period of time without undergoing erosion damage that could be caused by high-velocity fluids.
CONSTITUTION: A disc-shaped auxiliary valve seat 13 is mounted in a cage 5. An auxiliary valve 16 energized in its closing direction by a coil spring 20 is disposed inside a valve plug 9. A ring 23 is mounted to the inner periphery of the valve plug 9. When the valve plug 9 is slightly opened, the auxiliary valve 16 is kept closed by the coil spring 20.
