Abstract:
To provide a breaking method capable of performing breaking while forming a satisfactory broken-out surface in which three-dimensional displacement is suppressed, by using a method for easily forming a stress concentration part.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a breaking method for a metallic component in which a metallic components 1, B including a predetermined through-hole 5a is provided, a groove part 17 continued from a first opening end to a second opening end of the through-hole is formed at opposed positions on an inner peripheral surface of the through-hole, and the metallic component is broken from the groove part. Positions δ, δ1 and δ2 where a stress is concentrated when starting breaking the metallic component are specified in the groove part of the metallic component. A stress concentration part 19 is formed at a position of a bottom of the groove part corresponding to a specified position of the groove part in such a manner that the specified position is defined as a breaking start point. When starting breaking the metallic component, a crack S1 is generated from the stress concentration part 19 first among portions of the groove part, and a crack S2 is grown from the portions of the groove part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
