Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device having small rotational resistance, and a shielding device using the braking device.SOLUTION: A braking device includes a holder 320 rotating on the basis of an input from a braking object, and a rotary member 340 held by the holder and rotated in accompany with the rotation of the holder. The rotary member is constituted to be moved to a radial outer side with respect to the rotation by centrifugal force in the rotation to slide with the other member, so that braking force is generated. The holder has a pressing portion 321 for pressing the rotary member and rotating the same in the rotation, and a contact area for a unit length in a radial direction with respect to the rotation, of the pressing portion and the rotary member is reduced from an inner side toward an outer side in the radial direction with respect to the rotation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
