Abstract:
To provide a brake shoe enabling avoidance of the use in a state with low friction force, and to provide a manufacturing method of the same.SOLUTION: A brake shoe 1 which includes a base part 2 extending along a contact surface 21 of a contact object 20, and in which the base part 2 has a friction surface 3 facing the contact surface 21 is configured such that: the base part 2 has a shape that a central part 4 is in a curved state protruding to the side of the contact surface 21, compared to both side end parts 5 in an extension direction X, in a state that the friction surface 3 is not in contact with the contact surface; and there is formed an abrasion discrimination part 6 recessed to an opposite side to the side of the contact surface 21 from the friction surface 3, at a position in the central part 4 in the extension direction X of the base part 2, viewed from a direction (width direction Z) orthogonal to the extension direction X and a direction (thickness direction Y) in which the contact surface 21 and the friction surface 3 face each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
