Abstract:
To provide a brake pad for suppressing a thermal expansion coefficient of the entire brake pad in a low level, which uses no organic series dust and is not operated at high temperature.
The brake pad 10 comprises a fibrous base material selected among an inorganic fiber, an organic fiber, and a metallic fiber, a frictional adjusting agent, lubricant, and a bonding agent, and does not include organic series dust. When temperature of a frictional surface 11 is 400 °C or less, a thermal expansion coefficient in a compression direction is set to 0.2% or less.
