To provide a brake device 101 of an elevator hoist capable of preventing a brake shoe 5 from being brought into contact with a braking face 31 of a rotary drum 2 in a non-braking mode.
In the brake device 101, doglegged shape link mechanism parts 50 are mounted on the brake shoe 5 for braking the rotation of the rotary drum 2 by pressing the rotary drum 2 from its inner circumferential side at total four parts in the upper and lower sides, and this side of the depth sides. The link mechanism parts 50 are connected to the brake shoe 5 by engaging a pin d50d having a long hole 50e on one end side thereof and fixed to the brake shoe 5. The link mechanism parts 50 are rotatably connected to a bent part by a torque receiving part 16 of a fixed member 15 and a pin c50c. In addition, the link mechanism parts 50 have a roller 50a on the other end side. The link mechanism parts 50 are rotated around the pin c50c as the axis when the brake shoe 5 is retracted from the rotary drum 2, and abuts the roller 50a on a braking face 31 of the rotary drum 2.
