To provide a brake device for a railway vehicle having a parking brake.SOLUTION: A brake device 100 includes a service brake 1 and a spring brake 2. The service brake 1 has a first lever 10 which moves a brake shoe 94 according to a force input from a first brake cylinder 30. The spring brake 2 is disposed between a first input part 13 of the first lever 10 and a first supporting point part 11 and pushes a brake lever with a force input from a second brake cylinder 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
