Abstract:
To provide a bearing device used for supporting the fixed end of a roll in a continuous casting facility and suppressing abrasion and separation.
A face-to-face duplex conical roller bearing allows the inclination of the roll to some extent. By exhibiting an original function to support an axial load, it is possible to support the fixed end of the roll. Thereby, in comparison with the use of a conical roller bearing with an aligning ring, load carrying capacity is increase. Also, in comparison with the use of a self-aligning roller bearing, abrasion and separation are effectively suppressed.
