Abstract:
To provide an automatic valve in which a steam locking phenomenon can be reliably eliminated.SOLUTION: When only steam fills in a valve chest 37 of a steam trap 2 or part of a first discharge pipe 81 to cause a steam locking phenomenon which prevents the flow of drain into the valve chest 37, the temperature drop of the first discharge pipe 81 is detected, and a cooling signal is given to a heat release portion 10 at the same time when a valve opening signal is given to a valve 5. Then, the opening of the valve 5 allows the flow of the steam into the heat release portion 10, and the steam is cooled and condensed by cooling plates 11a, 11b, 11c 11d, 11e absorbing heat by receiving the cooling signal, so that drain is generated. The generation of the drain reduces the volume of the steam which causes the steam locking phenomenon, eliminates the steam locking phenomenon to thereby allow the drain to flow from the first discharge pipe 81 into the valve chest 37, consequently the steam trap 2 returns to a normal state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
