Abstract:
To provide an automatic valve with a cleaning mechanism capable of removing foreign matter by surely turning a valve stem.SOLUTION: When drain at high temperature flows into a valve chamber 53, each bimetal 50 is expanded; a valve stem 10 is moved in a direction of an arrow 106, and a valve element 2 enters a valve port 62 so as to close a valve. The valve stem 10 is constituted by a valve stem body 11 and a valve stem end portion 12, and they are connected with each other at a connection portion 4. A body side tooth portion formed on the valve stem body 11 and an end side tooth portion formed on the valve stem end portion 12 are separated from each other by a return spring incorporated in the valve stem body 11 when the valve is opened, and an apex of the body side tooth portion and an apex of the end side tooth portion are dislocated circumferentially. Accordingly, when the valve is opened at which the valve stem 10 is moved in the direction of the arrow 106, the valve stem end portion 12 is turned by meshing of the body side tooth portion and the end side tooth portion, and foreign matter fixed to a valve seat upstream chamber 61 is scraped off and removed by a blade portion 10b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
