PURPOSE: To ensure an amount of lubricating oil fed to a frictional engaging element by a method wherein the outer race of a one-way clutch is spline- engaged with the inner peripheral end part of the hub of a clutch, and the spline tooth of the outer race is engaged with the spline tooth of the hub with a given sized gap therebetween.
CONSTITUTION: Lubricating oil fed in an oil hole 12a in an input shaft 12 flows through a gap between the inner race of a one-way clutch FO and a carrier 18 after the flow of it through an oil hole 12b of a shaft 12 and an oil hole 107. The lubricating oil flows through a groove 105 of a washer 104 to a spline engaging part between an outer race 101 of the clutch FO and a hub 102 of a overdrive direct clutch CO. Further, the lubricating oil flows through gaps (a) and (b) between a spline tooth 101a of the outer race 101 and a spline tooth 102a of the hub 102 and flows through a through-hole 103 of the hub 102 to the friction plate of the clutch CO. This constitution enough ensures an amount of fed lubricating oil, and performs excellent lubrication of the clutch CO even when clutch capacity is increased.
