To provide an automated analyzer and a process for simultaneously performing two or more diagnostic assays.
The process for performing an amplification reaction based on a nucleic acid comprises: (a) a step of separating a target nucleic acid from other materials existing in a fluid sample in a separation station installed at a first position on a treatment deck; (b) a step of incubating the separated target nucleic acid with one or more amplification agents in a reaction vessel for a period under a condition sufficient to amplify the target sequence existing in the target nucleic acid in an amplification station installed at a second position on the treatment deck; and (c) a step of transporting the reaction vessel containing the separated target nucleic acid to the amplification station before the step (b).
