To provide an article storage device capable of easily performing layout change or replacement of a storage part corresponding to various situations such as change of articles to be stored, usage change, room remodeling, and users' preference.

The article storage device includes: a column; and a storage tool which is mounted on the column, and stores articles. The column is be freely extended or contracted, and can be fixed so that the vertical ends are stretched between two surfaces that are relatively vertically opposed to, each other. The storage tool includes: a mounting part which has the column insert, and is mounted so that the vertical positions can be adjusted; and a storage part which is freely detached/attached from/to the mounting part, and stores the articles.
