To provide a retention body which retains a recording medium to suppress a positional deviation of an image and to suppress the generation of foreign matter on an outer circumference part when manufacturing an image recorded body by transferring the image to the recording medium which is preliminarily punched into a specified shape.
The retention body 22 comprises: a support member 4 having a recessed part 6 in which the recording medium 24 is arranged, and supporting the recording medium and a transfer body 20 which has the image 26 to be transferred to the recording medium on the surface of the transfer body; and an annular cutting member 5 which is erected from the bottom part toward the opening part along the outer circumference of the recording medium inside the recessed part of the support member and stores and retains the recording medium. When the transfer body supported by the support member is heated or is pressed in the thickness direction, at least a part of the transfer body in the thickness direction is cut-in by the cutting member.
