PURPOSE: To increase the lifetime of a magnetic head without reducing the shielding effect, by providing a wear-resistant material between a material of high permeability and a material of low resistance value which forms shielding plate between the magnetic cores corresponding to magnetic tracks, respectively.
CONSTITUTION: A shielding plate 5 is formed by bonding a wear-resistant material 4 between a material 1 of high permeability and a material 2 of low resistance value. The plate 5 is set between magnetic cores 8 corresponding to magnetic tracks and wound by windings 7 containing magnetic gaps 6. These component elements are stored and adhered into a shielding case 9. Thus a magnetic head is obtained. In such way, the wear-resistant properties can be improvied for the plate 4 to increase the lifetime of the magnetic head without reducing the shielding effect of sandwich constitution.
