Abstract:
Provided is a work machine that loads a load onto a tray of a transporter vehicle, the work machine comprising: a traveling body; a turning body rotatably provided on the upper part of the traveling body; a front implement attached to the turning body; a measurement device that measures an object around the work machine and outputs a point cloud indicating the measurement result; and a processing device that executes a process of detecting the tray from the point cloud output by the measurement device. The processing device extracts two surfaces opposing each other in the horizontal direction from the point cloud output by the measurement device, determines whether the inter-surface distance between the extracted two surfaces is longer than a predetermined set distance, detects the tray with the two surfaces serving as left and right wall surfaces in response to determining that the inter-surface distance is longer than the set distance, and outputs the position of the tray in response to detecting the tray.
