Abstract:
[Problem] To provide wood for combustion that is easy to ignite, is not susceptible to release smoke having a burnt odor, and has favorable combustion efficiency, and a method for manufacturing dried wood for combustion. [Solution] The present invention has a main body 1 which has a top end 1a and a bottom end 1b and is self-supporting. The present invention has a vertical hole 2 formed in the top end 1a of the main body 1 and has a bottom part. A first horizontal hole 3 is formed on the side surface of the main body 1 so as to extend to below the bottom part. A second horizontal hole 4 is formed on the side surface so as to communicate with the vertical hole 2. A ventilation hole allows the first horizontal hole 3 and the bottom part to communicate with each other. The top end 1a and the bottom end 1b are flat surfaces parallel to each other, and the top end 1a has one or more top end grooves 6 traversing between the vertical hole 2 and the side surface.
