Abstract:
This wireless power transmission apparatus may comprise: a resonant circuit corresponding to a first frequency; a rectifier circuit configured to rectify first alternating current power of the first frequency provided from the resonant circuit; at least one conversion circuit configured to convert the rectified power into second alternating current power of a second frequency; at least one transmission coil connected to each of the at least one conversion circuit; at least one switch connected to the at least one resonant circuit; and a controller. The controller may be configured to control the at least one switch such that the resonant circuit forms a closed loop, on the basis of identification that a first wireless power reception apparatus that supports a first charging method based on the first frequency is arranged on at least a portion of at least one charging area of the wireless power transmission apparatus. The controller may control the at least one switch such that the resonant circuit does not form a closed loop, on the basis of identification that a second wireless power reception apparatus that supports a second charging method based on the second frequency is arranged on at least a portion of the at least one charging area of the wireless power transmission apparatus. The controller may be configured to control at least a portion of the at least one conversion circuit to provide the second alternating current power of the second frequency. The second alternating current power may be provided to at least a portion of the at least one transmission coil.
