Abstract:
This wire electric discharge machine control device, which controls, in the wire electric discharge machine, electrode driving trajectories for a workpiece, a machining speed between the workpiece and electrodes, and a discharge frequency of a voltage to be applied between the electrodes and the workpiece, comprises a storage device and a calculation device. The storage device stores at least one piece of data selected from among the inter-electrode voltage, the discharge frequency, the machining speed, and the driving trajectories, the inter-electrode average voltage being the voltage applied between the workpiece and the electrodes in (n-1)-th machining when a machining section is machined n times where n is an integer of 2 or greater. The calculation device: calculates an inter-electrode distance in n-th machining by using a computation model that indicates the relationship between the data in the (n-1)-th machining and the machining shape of the workpiece; and calculates at least one command value selected from among a machining speed, a discharge frequency, and driving trajectories in the n-th machining corresponding to a machining amount that is required for making a desired shape based on a machining program for which the machining section is machined from the inter-electrode distance in the n-th machining.
