Abstract:
Provided is a vortex pump, wherein: a vortex chamber includes an inlet port (12), a water passage (13), and an outlet port (14); a fluid which is suctioned from a suction port by the rotation of an impeller passes the inlet port (12), the water passage (13), and the outlet port (14), in this order, and is discharged from a discharge port; and the water passage (13) includes, in order from the closest to a rotating axis (4c), a first wall (13a), a middle wall (13b), and a second wall (13c); the second wall (13c) includes a second wall inner surface (13c1) and a second wall outer surface (13c2) and is connected to the first wall (13a) via the middle wall (13b), wherein; the distance between the first wall (13a) and the second wall inner surface (13c1) is the width (D) of the water passage; and the width (D) of the water passage decreases from the inlet port (12) toward the outlet port (14).
