Abstract:
The invention relates to a double-ended multi-hull Pacific proa sailing vessel (100) comprising a hull (101) and a float (102) parallel to the hull, the hull and the float being linked by a beam (130), the hull bearing a Plettner-type rotating rig (111, 112) capable of producing a thrust perpendicular to both the rotating axis (110) thereof and the wind direction (180), which, in the absence of wind, is inclined by an angle of heel towards the float (102). The invention also relates to a system using such a vessel for harvesting wind energy in a storage battery located in the float and a method for loading and unloading such a battery.
