Abstract:
Disclosed in the embodiments of the present application are a vertex ambient occlusion value determination method and apparatus, a vertex ambient occlusion value application method and apparatus, and a device, which are used for improving the accuracy of obtaining vertex ambient occlusion values and reducing the computation cost. The vertex ambient occlusion value determination method of the embodiments of the present application comprises: performing triangular facet subdivision on a model to be processed, so as to obtain a triangular facet model, the triangular facet model comprising a plurality of triangles and a plurality of vertexes; on the basis of triangles associated with each vertex, calculating an ambient occlusion value of each vertex; on the basis of the ambient occlusion value of each vertex, calculating corresponding errors of connection edges between every two vertexes; on the basis of the corresponding errors of the connection edges between every two vertexes, merging the connection edges between every two vertexes, so as to obtain a target triangular facet model after merging and a target vertex in the target triangular facet model; and on the basis of triangles associated with the target vertex, calculating an ambient occlusion value of the target vertex.
