Abstract:
The present invention further improves visibility in front of a vehicle in rainy weather and other such conditions. This vehicle lighting system is capable of irradiating an area forward of a vehicle with illumination light having a variably set light distribution pattern, wherein: the vehicle lighting system includes a first lighting device disposed on the left side of the front part of the vehicle and a second lighting device disposed on the right side of the front of the vehicle; and when the position where the vehicle is present is undergoing inclement weather, an area above the horizon in a front view from the vehicle is irradiated with light having the light distribution pattern, in which a range forward and to the left from the forward center of the vehicle, within the range that can be irradiated by the first lighting device, is set as a first light irradiation range, and in which the range that can be irradiated by the second lighting device is set to a dimming range or a non-irradiation range.
