Abstract:
The present invention provides a vehicle interior article that makes it possible to favorably arrange individual components inside a vehicle. An armrest (2) of a door lining (1) (vehicle interior article) is provided with: a skin material (30) (cover material); a printing layer (40) that is arranged on a rear surface side of the skin material; a light emission body (50) that is arranged on the rear surface side of the skin material and the printing layer and that causes a printing surface (40a) to be displayed on a front surface of the skin material; a proximity sensor (60) that is arranged on the rear surface side of the skin material and that detects the approach of an object to be detected; a control unit (90) that controls the light emission body on the basis of a detected signal from the proximity sensor; and a switch device (70) (pressing switch (73)) that is arranged on the rear surface side of the skin material and that detects pressing from the skin material side. The control unit (90) controls the light emission body (50) to emit light in a state in which the proximity sensor (60) has detected the object to be detected. The proximity sensor (60) is arranged closer to the rear surface side than the skin material (30) is and is arranged closer to the front surface side than the switch device (70) and the light emission body (50) are.
