Abstract:
A vehicle headlight (1) comprises: a first light-emitting optical system (LE1) that emits, forward, first light (L1) for forming a low beam light distribution pattern (PL); a projection lens (35) which is disposed forward of the first light-emitting optical system (LE1) and through which the first light (L1) transmits; and a shade (50) disposed between the first light-emitting optical system (LE1) and the projection lens (35). The upper surface (50S1) of the shade (50) has a first stepped part (55a), at least a part of which extends obliquely to an optical axis (LE1C) of the first light-emitting optical system (LE1) in a plan view. The first light (L1) is partially reflected toward the projection lens (35) so as to form a cutoff line (CL) for the low beam light distribution pattern (PL).
