Abstract:
A variable-thickness preform (1), a composite component, and a yarn reduction method for a variable-thickness preform. The variable-thickness preform comprises: a main fiber portion (3) formed by several warp yarns and weft yarns; and a drawn portion formed by drawn fibers obtained by separating, from the main fiber portion, warp yarns and weft yarns which form the main fiber portion (3), the drawn portion causing the number of fibers of the preform in at least one direction to be reduced. The drawn fibers comprise drawn warp yarns and drawn weft yarns drawn out of the main fiber portion from drawing points (4), and the drawn weft yarns do not comprise a weft yarn located, during drawing, on the outer side of a surface warp yarn. Therefore, a yarn disintegration phenomenon of the preform caused by yarn reduction is avoided, and thus the integrality of the preform is improved; by adjusting and optimizing the structure and movement rule of the drawing points (4), net shape manufacturing of the variable-thickness profile preform (1) is achieved.
