Abstract:
An upper (2) comprises: a cloth base material (20) having at least one layer (20a); and a plurality of linear materials (21) formed independently of each other and disposed side by side in the base material (20). Each of the plurality of linear materials (21) comprises: a first portion (21a) which is provided to at least one end of the linear material (21) along the length direction and which is fixed to the layer (20a); and a second portion (21b) which is provided to a portion of the linear material (21) other than the first portion (21a) and which is not fixed to the layer (20a). The second portions (21b) of adjacent linear materials (21) are hooked on each other. A part or entirety of the second portion (21b) of at least one of the linear materials (21) is exposed to the outside of the base material (20).
