Abstract:
 Provided are an underbracket for a two-wheeled vehicle and a three-wheeled vehicle, which has exceptional strength and stress corrosion cracking resistance (SCC resistance); and an advantageous production method for the same. An underbracket for a two-wheeled vehicle and a three-wheeled vehicle which achieves the intended purpose is obtained by: preparing, through hot extrusion at a hot extrusion temperature of 400°C or above, an extruded Al alloy material that comprises an Al alloy containing Zn, Mg, Cu, Mn, and Zr, each in prescribed proportion, that has a microstructure which is a fibrous structure, and that has a surface recrystallized structure layer 0.1 mm or less in thickness; under conditions in which a predetermined temperature is selected as the forging start temperature, and a predetermined temperature is selected as the forging end temperature, hot-forging the extruded Al alloy material to a prescribed shape; and then carrying out a quenching process at an average cooling rate of 3°C/second or faster, until the temperature of the obtained forging reaches 200°C.
