Abstract:
Provided is an ultraviolet light irradiation device that can more efficiently inactivate bacteria, viruses, and similar while ensuring safety. This ultraviolet light irradiation device comprises: a light source that produces ultraviolet light belonging within a wavelength range of greater than or equal to 190 nm and less than 240 nm; a housing that houses the light source; a light extraction unit that extracts the ultraviolet light produced by the light source to outside of the housing; and a diffuse transmission member that diffusely transmits the ultraviolet light.
