Abstract:
[Problem] To provide: a novel ultraviolet absorbent which has excellent absorption with respect to UV-A or UV-B and specifically absorbs only ultraviolet light that has a specific wavelength, while being able to be used widely; and an ultraviolet absorbing resin which has excellent bleeding resistance in addition to the above-described characteristics. [Solution] An ultraviolet absorbent which is composed of a fluorene compound represented by general formula (1) or a resin that contains the fluorene compound as a constituent unit.
