Abstract:
A two-stroke hydrogen engine 10 is a uniflow-type engine, and comprises a cylinder 12, a piston 16 reciprocatably provided inside the cylinder 12, an intake port 26 provided on a lateral surface of the cylinder 12 to take air into a combustion room 24, an exhaust port 28 provided above the intake port 26 in the cylinder 12 to exhaust air from the combustion room 24, an exhaust valve 40 provided in the cylinder 12 to open and close the exhaust port 28, a hydrogen injector 44 provided in the cylinder 12 to directly inject hydrogen fuel into the combustion room 24, and a supercharger 30 provided upstream of the intake port 26 to supercharge intake air from the intake port 26 to the combustion room 24. The two-stroke hydrogen engine 10 is suitably used in transportation equipment such as a small mobility 1.
