Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a treatment agent for elastic fibers, the treatment agent having excellent storage stability, uniform adhesion to elastic fibers, and good shape retainability during spinning, while enabling the achievement of excellent unwindability in cases where elastic fibers are stored for a long period of time; and elastic fibers to which this treatment agent for elastic fibers is adhered. A treatment agent for elastic fibers according to the present invention, as a means for solving the problem, is characterized by containing a mineral oil (A) and a silicone component (B) that comprises the dimethyl silicone (B1) described below and the dimethyl silicone (B2) described below, and is also characterized in that: the silicone component (B) is contained within the range of 1% by mass to 35% by mass relative to the total mass of the treatment agent; the dimethyl silicone (B1) has a kinematic viscosity of 12 mm2/s or less at 25°C; and the dimethyl silicone (B2) has a kinematic viscosity of 90 mm2/s or more at 25°C.
