Abstract:
In this four-wheel-drive vehicle, right and left rear wheels 9, 10 serve as main drive wheels and right and left front wheels 25, 26 serve as sub drive wheels that are driven by an engine 2 via an electronic control coupling 20, the right and left front wheels receive motive power transmitted from the engine 2 via a differential gear 22, and a dog clutch 30 is provided in a motive power transmission path between the differential gear 22 and the right front wheel 26. The four-wheel-drive vehicle is provided with: a drive mode determination unit which determines the state of engagement and disengagement of clutches 20, 30 on the basis of the operating condition of the vehicle; and a clutch control unit 45 which controls the actuation of the clutches 20, 30. During the travel of the vehicle, in the case where disengagement of the dog clutch 30 has been determined, a clutch torque of the electronic control coupling 20 is applied by an amount of a compensating torque before disengagement of the dog clutch 30 such that a torque difference in the dog clutch 30 at the time of disengagement of the dog clutch 30 is reduced.
