Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to ensure a sufficient working space while limiting an occupied space. This toggle clamp comprises: an actuator which is capable of causing a first shaft to reciprocate linearly; a base plate having an arcuate elongated hole into which the first shaft is slidably fitted; a clamp arm; a base member which rotatably supports the base plate by means of a second shaft, and which rotatably supports the clamp arm by means of a third shaft; and a link member which is rotatably linked to the clamp arm by means of a fourth shaft, and which is rotatably linked to the base plate by means of a fifth shaft. In a released state, the fourth shaft lies in a position separated from a straight line joining axes of the second shaft and the fifth shaft. In a fixed state, the fourth shaft lies in a position on the straight line joining the second shaft and the fifth shaft.
