Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a tire chain tightening device capable of preventing damage to an engaging part even if a tensile load equal to or greater than a prescribed value is applied to a wire. [Solution] A tire chain tightening device 10 that feeds and winds a wire 38 by using a rotating body 24 provided inside of a casing 12, and that is characterized by comprising a first locking means 32 for controlling the rotation of the rotating body 24 such that the wire 38 is inhibited from being pulled out, and a second locking means 36 that activates due to a change generated in the wire 38 or in the rotating body 24 and comes in contact with the rotating body 24 when a load is applied that exceeds the tensile load normally applied to the wire 38.
