Abstract:
Provided is a tire carrier (10) capable of preventing interference with a guide plate (32) and a chain (14) even in the unlikely event of a collision. The tire carrier (10) is provided with a guide plate (32) in which a first chain guide hole (41), through which the chain (14) passes, is formed adjacent to the front side thereof. The guide plate (32) is provided with: a movable part (36c) and a front visor part (37) which are disposed more frontward than the first chain guide hole (41); a fixed part (36d) disposed more rearward than the first chain guide hole (41); and notches (44a, 44b). The notches (44a, 44b) break the guide plate (32) such that a portion (W1) including the movable part (36c) and the front visor part (37) and a portion (W2) including the fixed part (36d) are spaced apart from each other in a state in which an external force exceeding a predetermined magnitude is applied to the chain (14) in a direction (Z) in which a spare tire (9) is pushed forward.
